- Felicia Hall: A Necessary Dose of Happiness
Felicia Hall struggling with depression found herself turning to wine to cope. At a certain point, she realized enough was enough. Felicia began cooking healthy meals and as her confidence grew she got into running. This change, which she expected to be temporary, became permanent. She found that she gained a new perspective, not just on exercise but in life. Felicia explains, “To be physically able to exercise and to go on and continue to grow with it and pass it on to my children–it’s an amazing gift. I don’t have the perfect body, but I love what I have, and I’m comfortable. I’m comfortable in every part of my skin…People don’t understand what something like this can do for a person’s soul. It’s not just a physical change– it’s mental, it’s emotional. It’s everything”.
- Katherine Lauria: A Built-In Friend Finder
26-year-old Katherine never exercised until she and her friend decided to give Soul Cycle a try. They both thought it would be a one-time date, but were surprised to feel capable and empowered after their first session. Katherine stuck with the workout and her buddy. Years later, Katherine enjoys working out and has shed her disdain for it. She doesn’t exercise to be healthy anymore, she exercises because she enjoys it, and more often than not exercise ends up being her favorite part of the day. Katherine shares that her favorite thing about this experience isn’t the weight loss but the friends she has made and continues to make through exercise. Katherine says, “Exercise is a universal interest and I’ve learned that people love sharing it with each other”.
