Derick Lengwenus

Derick Lengwenus is a progressional motivational speaker and comedian. He has a passion for helping people turn their presentations and articles from something stiff into engaging. He teaches techniques in communication with the audience in a meaningful way, getting them to look up from their phones and take in what you are sharing.

Derick is graduate of the Second City Conservatory. Derick has performed in the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival where he won an audience choice award in 2006. Derick is also a former employee of Accenture and Dale Carnegie, a world class provider of corporate training and public speaking courses. Finally, Derick is a graduate of McGill University holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

He was very funny. We have never had a comedian at our post prom before, so a lot of the kids thought it wasn’t going to be good. But, everyone loved Derick. I was laughing the whole time. He connected very well with the highschoolers. Overall, it was a great show!

Derick was awesome for our after prom event! His show started for us at midnight and ran 45 to 50 min which is what we requested. He arrived 30 minutes early and was awesome about communicating with us over the last several months. We would definitely have him back for another event! Booked Derick for clean comedy at an assisted living community. Clean comedy can be hard at times but Derick did a fantastic job of it. He kept all of us laughing! Derick was a pleasure to work with. He helped make the entire evening a nice memory for our residents and their families. We look forward to having Derick come back to entertain us again!
